TEC Equipment, Inc. Director of Truck Service, Leasing in Portland, Oregon
TEC Equipment owns and operates several businesses including one of the fastest growing Full-Service Lease and Rental companies on the west coast. In alignment with our growth, we have a newly-created opportunity for a Director of Service, Leasing, based at our corporate headquarters in Portland, OR. This position will report to the VP of Leasing Operations and will partner with branch leasing operations throughout the TEC network to drive performance of all leasing service shops.
As the Director of Service, Leasing, key priorities will be to:
Inspire Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty
Standardize processes and work with branches to provide a uniform experience for our customers, ensuring the coordination of prompt, high quality repairs.
Influence Key Stakeholders to Initiate Change Through Data Driven Solutions
Collaborate with Leasing VP’s to develop and roll out tools and systems that meet new and changing needs of our customer base.
Use industry appropriate tools and techniques (such as Six Sigma), to develop data driven solutions, when documenting processes, and when driving change.
Guide, Coach, and Influence the Leasing Service Department Staff across the TEC network
Maintain a consistent visitation schedule with leasing branches and provide assessments that include guidance to the field managers for processes execution, staffing levels assessments, shop personnel evaluations, and project implementation status updates.
Provide the framework for service department managers to professionally develop employees in the service department, including structured guidance on skill assessment, training and career paths, cross training, and systems training.
Improve Fleet Uptime and Cost through Analysis of Shop Data
Each month, analyze the P&L, repair and maintenance data, and telematics data and provide detailed updates of the overall performance of leasing service shops to senior leadership.
Develop and maintain key metrics that drive service shop performance and link each metric to its impact to the P&L.
Maximize Shop Management & Throughput
Achieve forecast goals and objectives while maintaining a balance of controlling costs and exceeding customer commitments.
Develop a system of management for mobile maintenance and repairs that maximizes productivity and train the field branches to successfully adopt.
To be successful in this position, we are seeking candidates who have the following:
Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or related field.
7+ years of previous management experience, including managing a P&L.
Proven experience leading privately held fleet maintenance programs designed to control cost and maximize uptime.
Proven experience leading shops in multiple locations with varying degrees of experience from local shop managers.
Expert level knowledge of truck repair quality standards.
Expert level knowledge and understanding of trucking/leasing industry.
Ability to develop effective systems of management.
