We are currently seeking an Equipment Operator w/ CDL to join our growing team, and we now offer a $2,000 Sign on Bonus!

Position Overview:

This is not a job where you just sit in a truck and drive; NRC Drivers perform a variety of tasks and get to work with a number of specialized vehicles and tools. Depending on the project you’re supporting, you may be picking up and transporting barrels of waste from customer sites, to driving a tanker, or out in the field with Technicians connecting and disconnecting draining hoses, shoveling, and other labor intensive tasks.

Our Drivers have the opportunity to do more than just drive, are paid hourly, and are eligible for overtime pay!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the loading & unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and NRC/Customer equipment

  • Operate vehicles requiring a commercial license, including Tractor Trailers, Tankers, Vacuum Trucks, Vactors, Box Vans, etc.

  • Drive safely, performing pre-trip safety checks on all equipment/vehicles as required per policy

  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including but not limited to Driver Logs, Notes/Incident Action Logbook, Hazardous Waste Manifests

  • Fieldwork, including manual labor tasks such as disconnecting hoses, shoveling, lifting and moving materials

  • Assist with training NRC personnel on the safe and proper use of company equipment

  • Exercise good judgement at all time, often working without direct supervision

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED (or equivalent, reading, writing, reasoning and computer skills)

  • 2-5 Years of experience in directly related work (Vacuum, roll-off, or general trucking experience, environmental services)

  • Class A CDL, preferably with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements & HM181 /126F DOT Training

  • Ability to do heavy lifting and carrying (up to 50lbs) intermittently, across extended periods of time

  • Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, and perform basic maintenance and equipment troubleshooting as necessary

  • Ability to safely drive NRC’s fleet of DOT Class A/B/C vehicles

  • Preferably possess 40-Hr HAZWOPER certificate or 24-Hr HAZWOPER w/ 16-hr upgrade course

  • Prefer TWIC holders
