Facilities and Property Management (FPM) is pleased to serve all members of the Portland State University (PSU) community. FPM is charged with the stewardship of the facilities and grounds, the largest asset in PSU’s portfolio. The facilities and grounds at PSU consist of over 5 million square feet of facilities and approximately 50 acres of grounds. As part of the Grounds Maintenance crew, the Grounds Worker 2 will perform lead-work and apply their expertise in horticultural (i.e. including irrigation/water management, tree care/arboriculture and integrated pest management/pesticide application) to perform landscape maintenance and construction services on campus. The role will includes the following duties: turf and plant care; exterior maintenance; landscaping maintenance, planning and design; equipment maintenance and repair; assigning work to team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess, or be able to possess, pesticide applicator’s license within six months of employment.

Successful completion of a background check.

Possession of a valid state-issued driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Two year Associates degree in horticulture or similar degree or certification and concentration in landscape maintenance.
