Healogics, Inc Hyperbaric Technologist (HBOT) – Full -Time in Portland, Oregon
Schedule: Day Shift, 30 hours per week with Benefits*
Healogics is hiring for a Hyperbaric Technologist/ HBOT to join our Wound Care Center team in Portland, OR.
The Hyperbaric Technologist works under the direction of the Center Manager of the Hyperbaric Medicine Department and administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Physician. The HBOT is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the hyperbaric chambers and all related support systems.
Hyperbaric Technologist (HBOT) Responsibilities:
Reinforces education as it relates to hyperbaric therapy and assist patients in preparation for treatment.
Must accurately maintain and document patient records as they pertain to treatment.
Performs hyperbaric chamber operations and system maintenance as required.
Supports clinical hyperbaric facility accreditation and participates in the safety program.
Utilizing data software for wound management.
Makes appropriate entries for daily hyperbaric treatments and wound care clinic visits including photo uploading.
Lift patient or transfer per local policy.
Tolerate pressurization and depressurization in a hyperbaric chamber (Multiplace Only)
Need to be able to hear patients and staff. Also, listen to equipment for malfunctions.
Hyperbaric Technologist (HBOT) Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
Active BLS and complete competencies skill checklist
Wound Care Chamber Operators must be a healthcare professional actively certified or licensed in of the following vocations.
Experience Requirements (Must meet one of the following):
Respiratory Therapist Corpsman (Military) Medical Services Specialist Nurse Practitioner EMT-Basic or Paramedic Registered Nurse, LPN, or LVN Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) Physical Therapist Physical Therapy Assistant
