Advanced Systems Group Instructional Designer in Portland, Oregon
Advanced Systems Group, LLC (ASG) provides onsite managed services for the world's largest search engine. We are seeking a technically-minded production professional to join our team and sit onsite with our client in Portland, Oregon.
The Instructional Designer will act as a learning partner/consultant and will be a key member for one of the most skilled Learning Experience Design team in the tech industry. Your role will be to maintain and create educational design standards for an array of company products and training purposes.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Utilizing developmental design thinking principles to solve user experience issues, analyze opportunities and establish working solutions
Articulate storyline
Have the ability to project manage
Designing and developing innovative e-learning experience practice standards
Studying critical user insights metrics and analytics to create a cohesive execution across all companywide platforms
Delivering concise expectations and act as an e-learning consultant to ensure standards are being met during all stages of production
Create engaging training programs at scale while conveying a heightened level of accuracy
Partnering with content and skills experts to efficiently align the highest-level of company priorities.
REQUIREMENTS:
5-8 years of experience in designing, developing and user testing
A strong design portfolio showcasing the development of original learning products with HTML5 or other development languages/environments
Professional working program knowledge of GSuite (Google Drive, Docs, Slides and Sheets)
Experience in Evolve and Intellum LMS
Familiarity with Addie, Rapid Release, Story Boarding
Prior experience meeting company standards in presentation design, as well as copywriting and copyediting
Skilled in an array of project management programs (Smart Sheets, Asana, Google Sheets)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to find all grammar and language mistakes.
A history of overseeing large scale design projects while prioritizing consistent messaging and meeting essential project deadlines
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree in Instructional Design, or a related field of study or equivalent prior work experience
Ability to breakdown complex technical language into simplified steps
Independently focused, yet able to partner with other cross-functioning department leaders
Driven by analytics and problem solving
Unparalleled attention to detail and cohesion
