As the Lead/Principal IT Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for designing and leading the implementation of an Infrastructure Architecture that supports the organization’s Enterprise Architecture (EA), IT Infrastructure, and business strategies. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead infrastructure architectural initiatives, standards, and strategies; set and drive the implementation of standards

  • Collaborate with peer organizations and senior leadership on creating the visionary direction and roadmap for infrastructure; gain adoption throughout the enterprise

  • Partner with IT and business leaders to evolve the EA process, outcomes, and results to the organization

  • Design and implement on-premises private and public Azure/AWS/Google cloud infrastructure and services with a focus on availability, scalability, performance, and cost management

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field

  • 12 years of experience in IT Architecture including a wide array of infrastructure knowledge

  • Understanding of applications development principles, life cycles, and techniques

  • Strong knowledge of web services, API Gateways, and application integration development

  • Extensive experience with public cloud

  • Experience implementing large-scale processes while managing multiple complex projects

  • Experience with working cross-functionally, contingency planning, integrating acquisitions, and risk and issue management

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field

  • 15 years of experience in IT with 10 years of experience managing a technology infrastructure operation

  • Experience in leading and managing technology infrastructure organizations

  • Excellent knowledge of emerging systems, technologies, and concepts

  • Exceptional planning, project management, and verbal and written communication skills
