Zapproved is hiring a results-driven Manager of Engineering to oversee teams that will be driving major transformations in our software suite. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical background, good business acumen, and demonstrated experience managing diverse teams. You should also be comfortable working with a wide variety of stakeholders - from engineering to product to executives, and everything in between. What You’ll Be Doing:
Leading high-performing engineering teams. We work in scrum teams, usually with 4 - 6 developers, QA, UX, and Product partners and do our best to follow agile practices and principles in our work.
Mentor! Teach and learn from your leadership teammates to help us collectively build and iterate on our culture, process, skills, and product.
You will own and share the technical obligations for one to many products with your team.
You will lead by example to instill a sense of pride and ownership of your products in your team.
Prize and reinforce an environment of psychological safety where engineers feel safe to innovate and try something new. Leverage incremental delivery practices to turn big initiatives into a series of small, fast experiments.

What You’ll Need:
5+ years of software engineering experience delivering web-based software; experience at the senior or architect level preferred
Team leadership experience either as manager, technical lead, or mentor
Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google) experience
Experience utilizing Agile methodologies to accelerate decisions/outcomes, minimize risk, and balance the short/long term goals
Ability to help teams remove ambiguity, enabling them to deliver quality solutions
Business acumen and ability to foster relationships with customers and stakeholders across the company
A passion for building a productive and inclusive work environment that will attract and retain top talent
Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills
Strong attention to detail; Ability to see both the strategic goals and the tactical milestones
A desire to continuously learn and improve for both yourself and your teams
What Would Be Nice:
1-3 years of management experience of team(s) greater than 3 direct reports
Experience in a scaling SaaS company preferred
Experience working with contractors both embedded and external
Experience operating a 24x7 software or service
