The successful candidate will safely produce high quality product with on-time delivery to customers. Operates chain assembly equipment. Adheres to Safety, Quality, and other Blount, Inc. policies and procedures. Meets schedule and performance requirements. Participates in problem-solving, continuous improvement and other team-oriented activities, including Kaizen events.

Reports to: Production Supervisor
NOTE: SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF A MATH TEST IS REQUIRED FOR POSITION
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary Tasks (80%)
Uses work instructions, shop planning, and other standard work documents
Starts up and shuts down machines
Operates Multimatics and Duomatics, as well as other equipment
Assembles and packages multiple chain types
Places orders for maintenance, materials, and other supplies via electronic system
Verifies parts, process, and paperwork per documentation
Correctly follows processes and instruction
Performs minor machine adjustments and maintenance
Records production information appropriately on paperwork and in other systems
Performs part change
Accurately documents required information, including timekeeping information
Appropriately communicates issues clearly and in a timely manner
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe workplace
Secondary Tasks (20%)
Performs and records necessary Quality checks, including sensor, droop, mylar and other checks as required by instructions and policies
Communicates any quality deviations as required by documentation
Performs machine checks as required by instructions, policies, and other requirements
Retrieves and moves components, parts, or other materials in a safe manner, as required
Isolates, sorts and/or tests components, parts, or other materials, as needed
Updates production boards or systems, as required
Relieves other machine operators for meetings, breaks, or lunches, as required
Possible additional use of computer software, email, SAP, etc.
Participates in meetings, trainings, and discussions, including DMS meetings, TPM meetings, Continuous Improvement events, and Kaizen Events
Other duties, as assigned
Safety Responsibilities (100%)
Understands and follows safety procedures at all times
Wears required safety equipment
Reports injuries, accidents, and hazards immediately
Exercises caution and situational awareness
High school diploma or equivalent
Able to read and write English
Knowledge & Experience:
Previous job related or department experience preferred but not required
Good work performance required

Must be available for all of the following shifts (rotating shift schedule):
Day shift: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Swing shift: 4:00 p.m. to midnight
Graveyard shift: Midnight to 7:30 a.m.
Or when assigned to a special shift determined by department needs
