POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a talented, organized, creative, and data-driven Marketing Coordinator to work out of our Portland office. If you excel at building collaborative relationships, writing dynamic and engaging marketing and sales content, juggling multiple tasks at once, and if you thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, this is the position for you.

The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the marketing team with email marketing campaigns, writing responses to RFPs, advancing our website and social media presence, and reporting out on analytics. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience at creating and following project plans and timelines, working from and design templates across the Microsoft Office Suite, and building strong working relationships. It will be beneficial if you have a knowledge of ? or a desire to learn about ? software as a service and the waste industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Documenting processes for RFP responses, marketing campaigns, website, and other sales and marketing processes

  • Writing or assisting in writing responses to RFPs, generally to Solid Waste or Public Works departments of municipal governments

  • Creating, with help, a content calendar for the website and social media (particularly LinkedIn)

  • Writing social media and website content

  • Creating PowerPoint slides and presentations for internal and external audiences

  • Some graphic design responsibilities

  • Copyediting/proofreading various marketing and sales materials

  • Pulling marketing and conversion data from various sources (website, email campaigns, social media), and creating presentations for internal stakeholders

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor?s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or similar

  • Past experience in a similar marketing role

  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing

  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills

  • Strong copy editing/proofreading skills

  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and PowerPoint

  • Experience with a marketing automation tool

  • Experience with Salesforce

  • Experience with the Google Suite

  • Graphic design capabilities preferred

  • Project coordination skills and experience preferred

  • Past experience in RFPs and proposals preferred

  • Ability to quickly learn new and multiple technologies
