SUMMARY As part of a clinical team, Skills Trainers provide in home skills training and support to youth with behavioral and/or mental health concerns placed in foster homes. Skills training is provided to assist with stabilization to maintain youth in community setting. Skills training is provided during times identified as most relevant to the family and may occur during late afternoons, evening and early mornings. Skills Trainers are able to have flexible schedule based on the needs of their clients. Skills Trainers are included as part of a member of the service team and progress toward meeting clients goals by providing daily, weekly, and monthly reports to DHS.
