Oregon Health & Science University Neuro-Ophthalmologist in Portland, Oregon

Oregon Health & Science University, (OHSU), is a leading health and research university that strives for excellence in patient care, education, research and community service. Casey Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology at OHSU is recruiting a full-time Neuro-Ophthalmologist to work as a team with our existing Neuro-Ophthalmology provider.

This position will join an established and highly regarded University-based practice with clinical, research and educational responsibilities, and will hold an academic appointment. It has a strong clinical emphasis, with an established referral base. The group practice consists of 8 optometrists and 52 ophthalmologists offering sub-specialty services in cornea, pediatrics, vitreoretinal disease, ophthalmic pathology and oncology, uveitis and ocular immunology, glaucoma, oculoplastics, low vision and ophthalmic genetics.

Provide clinical care to Neuro-Ophthalmology patients of the University Hospital and Clinics and affiliated hospitals and clinics; engaging in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups as approved by Department Chair; providing staffing to residents seeing Neuro-Ophthalmology patients; teaching residents and house staff about neuro-ophthalmology diseases and issues; performing research relevant to neuro-ophthalmology medicine.

Requires a current, valid MD license and completion of an accredited residency program and neuro-ophthalmology fellowship training. Must be board certified or eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology or the equivalent Neurology Board.
