Devers is known internationally for treatment and research for diseases of the Retina, Cornea, Glaucoma, and Neuro-Ophthalmology. Devers trains both fellows and residents, and it provides extensive Comprehensive Ophthalmology services, as well as Ocular Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Contact Lens and Vision Rehabilitation services. The institute is well supported by world renown scientists who seek new knowledge and insights into all aspects of ophthalmic diseases. We are best recognized internationally in four areas: glaucoma, especially as that relates to damage and remodeling of the optic nerve, innovations in corneal transplantation, uveitis and all aspects of inflammation in and around the eye, and the epidemiology of ocular diseases, especially glaucoma.
We participate actively in clinical trials including ones related to retinal disease, glaucoma, and corneal disease.

The Ophthalmic Photographer provides both Ophthalmic Photography and Ultrasound for Devers Eye Institute at Legacy Health System. This position works closely with physicians in the performance of ophthalmic photography and ultrasonography patient procedures relating to the clinical, teaching and research needs of Devers Eye Institute and Legacy Ophthalmology services. This position is also responsible for evaluating Ophthalmic photography processes and policies and making recommendations to ensure program provides state of the art and quality care and service to patients and providers.
Associates degree in Photography or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Five years’ experience performing Ophthalmic Photography and Ultrasound preferred.
Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment used in ophthalmic photography required. Experience in program or project monitoring also required.
