At OHSU Doernbecher we believe that every child deserves the best care. Our team of specialty clinics provide testing and treatment for children and adolescents.
We provide more medical and surgical services than any other pediatric urology program in Oregon.
We evaluate, diagnose and treat infants and children with disorders of the genitals, urinary tract, bladder and kidneys.
The OHSU Clinical registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals, families, communities and patient populations. The Clinical RN's care delivery is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act, the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics. External applicants: Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing Degree from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA)
Internal applicants: Associate's Degree in Nursing
Current, unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License
BLS at time of hire and must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network branch of AHA (upload documentation with online application)
BLS must not expire during orientation or probation period, and must have the same expiration date (upload documentation with online application)
Minimum one year of pediatric nursing experience
Strong analytic skills; demonstrated organizational skills; demonstrated problem solving skills; demonstrated communication skills both interpersonal and conflict resolution including fluency in oral and written English; demonstrated planning skills; demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary setting; Intermediate computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use the Electronic Health Record information and tools

Work schedule varies to meet department needs: Clinic operating hours areT M-F 8:00 – 5:00 with a potential for evening and/or Saturday clinic coverage in the future.
Exercise the ability to implement a flexible work schedule to meet the unit needs and to create a positive work-life balance.
Work locations: primarily at DCH Marquam Hill, but can include travel (as necessary) to all locations that the clinic team supports.
Environment: This position is in a busy increasingly high volume clinical environment with many interruptions, multiple demands competing priorities.
May be exposed to body fluids, tissue, possible radiation exposure, and infectious processes, for which staff is provided education and protective equipment to minimize risk.
Current OHSU employees: BSN preferred
Previous experience with Epic EMR
Previous experience with Urology
Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) certification
Orientation: Dependent on experience and successful demonstration of competencies: 8 to 12 weeks
