In this position, you will:

  • Bring the professional nursing perspective and expertise to the group and upholding the standards of clinical practice. .

  • Be responsible for the oversight of clinical staff performance, coaching, mentoring, developing, and implementing clinical best practices.

  • Be responsible for the oversight and supervision of clinical quality, ensuring state and federal compliance and clinical support patient care services are provided in an efficient and safe manner that is consistent with clinical best practices.

  • Provide direct patient care at top of Registered Nurse (RN) scope of practice, according to the individualized needs of the patient using the nursing process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

  • Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the health care team in a collegial relationship.

  • Analyze patient data with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional/psychosocial, spiritual and chronological maturation process.

  • Supports all duties in a manner that supports team concept, caring and respect, reflecting the Providence mission and core values.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an Associate nursing degree with 3 years recent RN experience may be accepted in lieu of the BSN degree

  • Completion of an Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) approved Chemotherapy course

  • Current unencumbered license as a RN in the state of Oregon

  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) Certification

  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification

  • 3-5 years RN experience managing complex patient’s -or- successful completion of RN Ambulatory Residency program

  • 3 years of experience as infusion nurse

  • 1-2 years of med/surg experience

  • 1-3 years of supervisory experience in acute care setting

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Experience working in an ambulatory setting

  • 3 years of demonstrated experience with providing progressive leadership, clinical staff education, competency development and evaluation, staff training and performance evaluation

  • 3 years of experience providing patient education
