Robert Half is recruiting for a Senior Accountant for sought after organization in West Portland. This is projected to be a 4-5 month project with a high likelihood of extension. This role requires knowledge of advanced accounting principles and the ability to apply these principles to accordingly. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• General ledger work and assisting in the preparation of financial statement reports including summary information

• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts

• Analyze and manage financial statements on a regular basis to ensure accurate reporting

• Manage fixed asset processes, policies and procedures

• Maintain internal and external financial and tax audits

• Support and provide resolution to all internal and external audit processes

• Assist in implementing process improvements

• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential

• Backup support for Accounts Receivable

• Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial data and how it impacts various areas of the organization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent

• 3+ years of accounting experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Effective and efficient communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
