Microsoft Corporation Senior CAD Infrastructure Engineer in Portland, Oregon

Do you have a passion to bring new productivity in the silicon development process to design teams? You will be part of a team delivering the latest EDA tool capabilities to the silicon teams within Microsoft. As part of this position you would pave the way for the design, IT, and CAD teams by improving the compute farm interaction with the EDA tools. Responsibilities

  • Improving license and compute efficiencies in Azure and on-premise data centers.

  • Installing and maintaining licenses and EDA tools

  • Collaborating with IT, design, and CAD teams to improve tool/flow invocation and usage

  • Automation via script and tool writing for data gathering and tool deployment

  • Documentation and presentation of results

Qualifications

· Minimum of BS + 5 or MS + 3 majoring in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent major.

· Technical background in various aspects of EDA compute farm management including Altair Network Computer (preferred), Flowtracer (preferred), or LSF.

· Familiarity with EDA tool usage and requirements to help install, license, forecast, optimize, and budget needs for the future.

· Strong scripting background with TCL and Python

· Team player with good communication skills and a growth mind set

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
