Aetna Medicare is hiring a Senior Director, Medicare Member Materials
Position Summary/ Mission:
Leads the work and deliverables to support the Medicare Advantage Regulatory Communications annual life-cycle. Responsible for all aspects of a successful plan year and ongoing management of member communications.
Also will be responsible for work and deliverables of multiple, complex projects or programs, through to implementation, that impact multiple processes, systems, functions and products. Length of project may run multiple years in duration.
(*) Develops and implements strategic business plan to achieve business goals, including meeting CMS requirements and regulations on all mandatory member materials.
(*) Proactively leads a program and/or most complex projects by setting strategic direction.
(*) Works with vendors and stakeholders to create annual project plan, production plan, mail distribution plan to ensure materials are delivered as required by CMS.
(*) Identifies gaps and recommends enhancements related to new and/or existing products, services and workflows based on broad view of the organization.
(*) Collaborates and partners with other functional managers, other business areas across/within segments or other business areas to ensure all workflow processes and interdependencies are identified and addressed.
(*) Uses feedback and lessons learned to improve quality, efficiency and timeliness of processes year over year.
(*) Consults with constituents (these may be internal and/or external) to scope/define project.
(*) Influences change in order to improve performance results, organization effectiveness and/or systems/quality/services
(*) Obtains financial support for most complex projects or supports this work as it relates to program management.
(*) Collaboratively works across multiple functions and /or segments to obtain agreement from all impacted parties (e.g., up and downstream effects often impact multiple functions and/or segments.
(*) Responsible for development and implementation of new ideas that supports work/team. Cross function/segment group facilitation/presentation.
(*) Leads all project and/or program management work including monitoring and tracking of progress and status update communications. Responsible for resource utilization within and across work teams.
(*) Owns responsibility for budget, ensures efficient use of resources. Responsible for the financial implications of errors, and rework on budgets.
(*) Minimum 10 years of healthcare industry experience
(*) 5 or more years strategy consulting experience, with related management and leadership experience
(*) Demonstrated experience developing analysis, presentations and support material to successfully implement strategy or change initiatives.
(*) Demonstrated relationship management skills at the senior levels within an organization and external constituents.
(*) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
(*) Proven track record in successful delivery of annual regulatory materials including meeting milestones, minimizing errors and rework and staying within budget.
(*) Proven negotiation and vendor management skills.
(*) Experience includes development and management of multiple budgets related to various projects and or program.
(*) Proven program management skills.

(*) Print and distribution vendor management
(*) Medicare Advantage materials life-cycle including: composition development, BOM management, production and distribution, reconciliation, compliance, digital delivery, archival
(*) Experience with Medicare required materials Evidence of Coverage, Annual Notice of Change, Directories, Ad-hoc mailings
(*) Medicare Advantage product development/filing/ implementation, Medicare Advantage Compliance, or Medicare Advantage Marketing
(*) Experience with individual and Group Medicare Products
(*) High level of CMS Compliance Materials, Product Understanding
(*) Program/ Project Management
(*) Supply Chain Management
(*) Print Vendor Management
(*) Inventory and Production Management
(*) Process and Control Auditing; Process improvement and management, experience with Lead and/ or Six Sigma Preferred
(*) Very familiar with postal and package distribution solutions (UPS, UPSMI, FedEx, etc.)
(*) Build, manage and lead team including matrixed resources
(*) Experience with large cross functional, highly visible programs
(*) Experience in technical initiatives, business requirements, testing and deployments
(*) Skilled communicator with ability to flex to all levels
(*) Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (Required)
(*) Master's Degree (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
(*) Six Sigma/ Lean etc.
(*) CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management)
(*) CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional)
(*) Highly skilled of Microsoft office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
(*) Familiar with database Access, SQL and Tableau
(*) Filenet, Adobe Mobius
(*) Familiar with HP ExStream
(*) Familiar with CCM (Customer Communications Management)/ CMS (Content Management Software)
(*) Medicare Advantage
(*) Medicare bid filing a plus
