Oregon Health & Science University Support Service Aide in Portland, Oregon
To provide hospitals and clinics with a clean environment for staff, patients and visitors. To perform custodial duties for all hospitals and clinics which provides for a quality and environment conductive to good patient care.
The Environmental Services Support Services Aide improves the professional image of OHSU’s public spaces. Keep the windows and window ledges clean by wiping and dusting. Ensure that the furniture is clean and stays in a pre-determined order in the Tram Atrium, Summit Espresso, Surgery Waiting Lobby and Admitting/Information area or the Starbucks Lobby, located in the lobby level of the DCH and the rest area near the Gift Shop and Sky Bridge Espresso. Remove trash from waste baskets and litter from floors in dedicated areas. Wipe down garbage cans in public spaces. Cleaning public bathrooms inside the hospital. Other duties as assigned.
Candidate has a contract with eligible Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation agency and job development agency.
Candidate has a job coach, who has completed the OHSU Job Coach Onboarding Program.
Candidate can demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills.
Candidate is able to communicate and understand directions in written and spoken English.
Candidate is able to commute to work independently.
Candidate is able to learn to use certain technology: Vocera, phone, Outlook email.
Candidate is able to perform the essential functions with or without accommodations.
Candidate has a Food Handler’s Card (applicable only at the Oregon Fresh Room Service Support Services Aide position).
Candidate is able to pass the criminal background check.
