WHPacific Environmental Technician in Salem, Oregon
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
Provide technical support within a multi-disciplined team of scientific and environmental professionals. Contribute to environmental investigation and remediation projects, biological resource surveys and sampling, assist with Mazama Pocket Gopher surveys, data analysis, and report writing. This is an entry level position that will work field locations with minor office support responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
Strictly adhere to health and safety policies as a number one priority.
Participate in a variety of scientific and environmental projects under supervision as assigned;
Assist with preparation of investigation and work plans and remedial action plans.
Record field observations in a concise, accurate, and legible manner;
Deliver scientific data that is complete and meets quality objectives and complies with SOP's.
Share lessons learned and strive for continual program and personal improvement.
Provide team communication.
Assist in the completion of wildlife and wildlife habitat surveys in a variety of field locations

Must have the physical ability to conduct field operations safely in adverse weather conditions
Must be competent with various software programs (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Must have good problem resolution abilities.
Ability to exercise independent judgment.
Ability to work out in the field and in an office.
High School diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated knowledge in regional (WA) flora and fauna desirable
Valid U.S driver's license required; must be able to meet company insurance requirements
