Requirements: - Minimum eighteen (18) years of age - No experience necessary employer is willing to train qualified applicant Preferred (not required): - High school diploma or GED - Valid driver's license to drive company vehicle - Five (5) years' experience in general construction / landscape maintenance as a lead and / or supervisor Employer Notes: - Opportunity for growth; employer has two (2) positions available and is willing to train qualified applicant into a lead position - Employer states that the primary focus of this position will be performing landscape maintenance and secondary function will be general construction duties which will require working in various weather conditions - Employer conducts a drug test and a background check (Note: If applicant has a driver's license and is driving company vehicle the employer will also conduct a DMV records check) Job Duties: Landscape maintenance and general construction duties which include but not limited to: - Gather and remove yard debris, tree limbs, etc. - Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes - Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chain-saws, electric clippers, sod cutters, or pruning saws - Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws - Provide proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, or other grounds features - Shovel snow and remove ice from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas - Install rock gardens, ponds, decks, drainage systems, irrigation systems, retaining walls, fences, or planters - Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures using hand tools and power tools - Frequently bend, lift and maneuver up to fifty (50) pounds of fertilizer, garbage cans filled with debris, tree limbs, tools, equipment and construction materials (ex: rock, wood, metal, concrete, dirt, etc.) - Read and take measurements using a tape measure - Perform any other duties as assigned
