The PFS Epic Analyst I supports and maintains the hardware or software in their given area of responsibility and is an individual contributor on increasingly complex and diverse projects as assigned. The Epic Analyst I participates in implementations, enhancements, upgrades, and support for Resolute Billing Offices in a supportive role.
Plans, analyzes, designs, implements, tests, debugs and maintains Epic software applications.
Provides guidance and support to end-users to enhance the use of the Epic System
Performs analysis and troubleshooting to resolve complex incidents not resolved by the user or tier I support.
Performs routine assignments using existing procedures.
Has conceptual knowledge of theories, practices and procedures within a discipline.
Develops competence by performing structured work assignments.
Receives instruction, guidance and direction from others.
Works with internal and external stakeholders for analysis and design of quality clinical build while considering vendor best practice recommendations, strategic organizational alignment, value to the customer, return on investment, maintenance considerations, and alternate solutions
Follows internal build standards, build documentation, and build change processes to assure consistency with build requirements and system stability
Participates in applicable committees, project teams, and performance/process improvements
Provides required business and/or technical support for both project and production-related activities as assigned. Assures compliance to required standards and all that necessary approvals have been obtained throughout the project life cycle
Identifies trends of issue’s in the billing system and workflows
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or Health care preferred OR eight years related work experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience where each year of education equates to two years of experience (four years of experience will be substituted for an associate's degree and eight years of experience will be substituted for a bachelor's degree)
Minimum of one (1) year of Epic related experience required.
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification within six (6) months of date of hire, or moving into this position, required.
Kaizen basics course within first year of employment. Base understanding of Lean preferred.
Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Solid communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to work in department and interdepartmentally to articulate ideas, negotiate resolution of issues, and achieve objectives.
Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other productivity tools, and assigned applications and technologies.
Experience with IT Service Management tools preferred.
