Humana Specialty Inside Sales Executive in Salem, Oregon
The Inside Sales Executive - Specialty 2-99 proactively places outbound calls to recruit and develop independent insurance agents as producers for Humana's dental, vision and life products. The ISE works with the agent to quote and sell plans to the agents clients. The ISE assists the agent in all aspects from understanding the products, to quoting, presenting and installing the clients business with Humana. The Inside Sales Executive - Specialty 2-99 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Inside Sales Executive - Specialty 2-99 is responsible for managing the day-to-day selling and/or account management for their hierarchy of agents. The executive will spend a considerable amount of time building their hierarchy by placing proactive telephone calls to independent agents in their assigned market. Accountable for achieving new sales and/or renewal goals for defined territory or book of accounts. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.

Bachelor's Degree OR 3+ years of sales or sales related experience
Active Health & Life licenses OR ability to obtain Health and Life licenses within 30 days of hire
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with independent sales agents
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Self-starter, who also knows how to work well with a team to achieve ambitious goals
Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required.
A dedicated home office space, with a locked door, lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
Associates working in the state of Arizona must comply with the Tobacco Free Hiring Policy (see details below under Additional Information) and upon offer will be subjected to nicotine testing as part of a 10-panel drug test
Prior business to business sales experience with Specialty (Life, Dental, Vision) products
Previous experience in a high call volume sales environment
Bilingual in English and Spanish--ability to read, write and speak both languages fluently
