Timber Products Company Marketing Associate in Springfield, Oregon

POSITION SUMMARY

Located in the Springfield office, this position will be responsible for performing assigned tasks involved in the marketing of all Timber Products Company products to new target account prospects and/or the existing account base. This position will work closely with the sales and marketing team on all facets of product development, marketing, and fulfillment. Some travel will be required.

MAJOR TASKS

  • Help develop and execute the Timber Products annual marketing plan and strategies.

  • Participate in marketing associations and trainings.

  • Represent the Company’s product lines by working with the Director of Marketing, account managers and inside sales representatives to market to existing accounts and target account prospects through all marketing channels.

  • Assist in development of monthly Sales and Marketing reports and presentations.

  • Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information.

  • Assist in the maintenance and development of the CRM database, customer portal, and social media marketing tools.

  • Facilitate the TP online store – inventory management, new item stocking, clearance, and pricing.

  • Develop a full understanding of all TP products, services, and pricing to provide sound customer service and guidance.

  • Assist in planning and carrying out association events and conferences.

  • Assist in internal and external communication efforts to keep TP employees and the industry community appropriately informed of Company developments.

  • Aids in the development and management of Timber Products sample program.

  • Responsible for supporting and adhering to company policies and procedures.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field with a minimum of 1-3 years of related experience, or an equivalent amount of relevant training and experience. Must also have strong computer skills, strong familiarity with social media applications and uses, and ability to quickly learn and use a variety of software programs.

Excellent communication, listening, presentation, and writing skills are required in order to work effectively with all levels of the organization. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within Timber Products and with external customers, vendors, and outside contacts. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision are required. Must be able to work in a team environment and produce results in conjunction with fellow team members.
