The Team Leader will be able to perform the job of Packer/Handler, and will oversee and direct the operation of the Molding Department to ensure parts are being manufactured and packaged to standards. Team Leaders will be knowledgeable of all the injection molding machines, the process, raw materials, minor machine adjustments, quality standards, packaging standards, documentation and housekeeping. In performing these responsibilities, employees are to work safely, efficiently, and cooperatively in a manner that demonstrates team member involvement.
Responsible for maintaining production supplies to Packer/Handlers
Coordinate and give breaks (lunch) to Packer/Handlers
Oversee housekeeping and safety standards in the Molding Department
Exhibit leadership skills, develop and apply training skills, use problem-solving abilities to handle situations that may arise in the workplace, motivate and communicate with Packer/Handlers
Communicate to the Shift Supervisor and/or Molding Technician of safety, quality, machine, raw material, packaging, documentation or production concerns
Must be able to be on feet (standing, walking) for entire shift, excluding breaks; must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and be able to tolerate repetitive hand labor
Previous manufacturing experience.
Able and willing to multi-task while paying attention to detail; good communication skills.
