Clatsop Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN). This position provides nursing care, medication administration, and medical care for clients at the North Coast Crisis Respite Center and Community Support Services/ACT program. The RN also collaborates with Licensed Independent Practitioner's (LIP's), pharmacies, and outside medical providers to coordinate outpatient services for clients. The RN is also responsible for any needed first aid and other primary medical care and coordinates all emergency care provided at the center. The RN is responsible for educating and delegating medication administration and monitoring to QMHA's and Peer Support Specialists. ' Current valid registered nursing license in the state of Oregon. ' Current American Heart Association or Red Cross CPR card. ' Required to have and maintain an Oregon or Washington Driver's license and meet the agency's insurance carrier's insurance standards at the time of hire, motor vehicle record report required. ' Ability to pass a criminal background check. Preferred: ' BSN with ability to be QMHP certified. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ' Complete Nursing Admission Assessments for all new clients. ' Complete discharge procedure including obtaining prescriptions as needed for home medications. ' Administer medications to clients or monitor client self-administration of medications including documentation; complete monthly Medication Administration Record (MARs). ' Teach QMHA's and Peer Support Specialists about medication administration and assessment of side effects and adverse reactions. ' Assess and provide nursing care to meet the medical needs of clients including staff delegation for home treatments / care; Staff delegation training required every 6 months. ' Conduct educational groups on nutrition, healthy lifestyles, medications and related topics. ' Coordinate emergency medical procedures as needed including making decisions about emergency transport. ' Collaborate with outpatient LIP's and pharmacies to maintain coordination of care for clients.
