DevOps Security Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Providesubject matter expertise applying security concepts within a softwaredevelopment environment

• Developingsecurity standards for automating security within DevOps development processes

• Safeguardinformation system assets by identifying and solving security problems facingthe software development environment

• Implementssecurity improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends;anticipating requirements

• Workclosely with other cross-functional groups; Product Engineers, Cyber OpsAnalysis’s, Solution Architects, and Developers

• Helpsmanagement interpret operational impacts of security mandates

• Maintainstechnical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications

• Collaborateswith other security teams within Siemens to execute companywide initiatives

• Keepup to date with the latest security and technology developments

• Research/evaluateemerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them

• Designnew security systems or upgrade existing ones

• Liaisewith stakeholders in relation to cyber security issues and provide futurerecommendations

• Developtechnical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate securityvulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks

Qualifications/Skills:

• ExtensiveExperience developing security concepts for Linux systems and containers

• VulnerabilityManagement Development within a software development process

• Proficientin at least one modern programing/scripting language (preferably python)

• Proficiencyin endpoint security stack design: Anti-Virus\HIPS, EDR, HardeningTechnique

• Expertisein designing secure networks, systems and application architectures

• Experiencein building and maintaining security systems

• Thoroughunderstanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols

• DevSecOpsdesign and automation a plus

• Knowledgeof cloud native security tools and processes a plus

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or workexperience

• 5+ years of priorrelevant experience

• Hold at least oneadvanced certification such as SANS GCUX/GPEN or ISC2 CISSP
